Good Planning And Hard Work Versus Shortcuts

If you want God to use you in great ways this year, you’ll need focus. The more focused you are, the more effective you’ll be - and the more God will use you.

There’s awesome power in a focused life. Diffused light doesn’t have much of an effect on what it touches. But when you focus light (like the sun’s light through a magnifying glass), you can light a piece of paper or grass on fire. If you can focus it even more, it becomes a laser. A laser can cut through steel and destroy cancer.

The same is true with your life. If your 2017 is directionless, you’ll just drift through without any impact till the year ends. But if you focus your year on few key goals, then you can make a powerful impact on the world for God.

The Bible says, "Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty" ... Proverbs 21:5.

Rhetorical Questions

1) What goals did you set for yourself in 2017?
2) Are those goals in accordance with the will of God for your life?
3) What are those resolutions you made early this year?
4) How many of them have you achieved or close to achieving?
5) Do you even know those kind of goals that can change your life?

If you don't have the right answer to these questions, your 2017 is like a wristwatch without battery. And in case you are waiting for God, He will only send His Angels to help and support you, but not to start it for you. Therefore, it is in your hands to initiate the pursuit.

Thus, whatever men do consistently with discipline and diligence prospers.
